About
WILDER STORE ~ A modern clothing label based in Newcastle and run by Grace Willis and Maddi Callaghan
We believe in sustainability and creativity.
We take discarded towels, which would otherwise end up in landfill, and transform them into eco-friendly, everyday clothing. By repurposing these materials, we not only reduce waste but also give new life to fabric. Our ethos is rooted in innovation, care for the environment, and the belief that clothing can be both beautiful and sustainable.
Our creations are crafted with love and care, each piece made by hand on a sewing machine.
As two young mothers juggling family life, we pour our hearts into every stitch, ensuring that each item reflects the attention to detail and passion we bring to our craft. Sourcing the towels is a thoughtful process; we carefully select high-quality, gently used towels that are perfect for repurposing into something beautiful and sustainable. The time we dedicate to designing and sewing these pieces is a reflection of our commitment to creating unique, eco-friendly items, all while balancing the demands of motherhood. Every item we make is a one off, and tells a story of creativity, and a desire to build a better, more sustainable future for our children.
WILDER STORE acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
WILDER STORE is run locally on Awabakal land.
